… so quite sure there is some issue with your PayPal subscription.
We got this web page to help you: http://lightburner.com/lightburner-registration-fails-paypal-subscription/
If you tried to sign up but somehow it did not work for you, simply select a subscription you want on the above page and hit “Subscribe” button.
Complete the PayPal subscription which comes with 30-days free trial (do not cancel in the middle, you will have to start over!) and we’ll do the rest within 24h, associating this subscription with your LB account.
There is an issue with DP uploads at the moment. It looks like the problem is on DP site, their technical support is contacted.
Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon.
UPDATE Jan-17 10:30 GMT: The Depositphotos’ uploads are back now. However, it still looks odd to me:
root@web1 [~]# ftp ftp.depositphotos.com
Connected to ftp.depositphotos.com (220.127.116.11).
220———- Welcome to Pure-FTPd [privsep] ———-
220-You are user number 35 of 160 allowed.
220-Local time is now 09:28. Server port: 21.
220-This is a private system – No anonymous login
220-IPv6 connections are also welcome on this server.
220 You will be disconnected after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Meaning there are already 35 connected users out 160 allowed. Quite sure Lightburner closes any FTP connection it opens, it works this way for all agencies. Furthermore, an opened idle FTP connection will be closed by the FTP server anyway after a certain period of time, like the last line of log stays.
So these are not 35 LB users FTPing to Depositphotos, and I suppose the limit of 160 FTP users is the total limit Depositphotos set on their FTP server for all their customers.
In this case either this agency does not have enough contributors or they just set a too low limit which should be lifted up the sooner the better, avoiding problems like we got yesterday.
Even more odd that Depositphotos guys were unaware about their IT problem until I contacted their online chat yesterday, followed by an email to their technical support. While they fixed their technical issue they choose not to reply me.
The bottom line is, that until Depositphotos expand their FTP limits to more simultaneous connections we are supposed to face this issue over and over.
You can use any FTP client uploading your content to your Lightburner account. The FTP credentials were set to you in the “Welcome” email. They also are listed on the “Upload” page once you are logged into your LB account.
Please note that you should upload files into “/upload” folder, not in the root “/” folder of your Lightburner’ FTP account.
The files that resides in other but “/upload” folder will never be taken by the system and will not appear in your Lightburner account.
Following our previous communication in the beginning of June we have now finally suspended all free accounts.

At last we had temporary issues with the keywords suggestions and translations service. It is back now and you can keep adding the best-selling keywords to your images. Thanks to Lightburner subscriptions it is now possible to upload and index an entire photography portfolio, easily adding keywords in any language. After the translation, you easily can get your translated images and put them on your own computer.
If you are interested to translate your portfolio or looking for the keywording service for your microstock images please feel free contacting us and we will be happy to assist.
We now offer month-to-month pay-as-you-go subscriptions that include storage and traffic. Lightburner subscribers will be able to keep their complete uncensored portfolios online with Lightburner easily uploading them to new agencies once they come. Any subscription can be customized with the required number of storage and traffic. During this month all free accounts owners will have to choose a subscription plan.
I have fixed an issue which caused the system not to read metadata from the newly uploaded images. This was inconsistent, and the issue appeared from time to time to the different customers.
The bug was introduced on December 17-th due to the move to the new platform infrastructure.
If in the last two weeks you got some undistributed images with no metadata the best fix would be simply re-uploading them (make sure you delete the old ones before).
